The main problems in modeling climate change is the limited amout of observation data and limited computer capacity. The observation data is essential for climate modeling since it is used as an initial state for the models and to evaluate the models capacity to reproduce past climate. Especially over the big seas the observation data is scarce. The computer capacity limits the resolution and time period of the model runs.
